This is a wooden handle carved from solid wood by Yozo Tanaka, a woodworking artist at Kobo Eramu, an atelier located in the woods of Ono City, Hyogo Prefecture. We asked them to make handles with characteristic wood grains, one of a kind items carved by hand, and natural wood collected from the forest. Mr. Tanaka digs out wood from a chunk of solid wood that he cuts out, using simple
